The SafetyHub 100 consolidates and ignition protects seven 1A–200A circuits
The SafetyHub 100 was developed in response to OEM, installer, and boatowner needs for an ignition protected fuse block that is capable of protecting multiple 1A –200A circuits. This innovative product is:
SAFE – ignition protected for use on gasolline powered boats
SIMPLE – reduces wiring connections
COMPACT – consolidates seven fused circuits
The diagrams below illustrate the simplicity of wiring and connecting the SafetyHub 100. One short run of heavy cable connects the SafetyHub 100 to the battery or battery switch, reducing cost and weight compared to multiple long cable runs to individual fuse blocks.
The first diagram shows the fuse block connected directly to the battery – a typical installation for boats of all sizes that are kept in the water. All the loads connected directly to the SafetyHub 100 become 24-hour circuits. This is essential for bilge pumps and alarms, and convenient for stereo or clock memory. Connecting the battery switch to one of the high-amperage buses creates switched circuits for everything after the battery switch.
The second diagram shows the fuse block connected after the battery switch. This special application for trailer boats or boats in dry storage allows the boater to use the battery switch to conveniently switch power off to every load connected to the SafetyHub 100 when the boat is out of the water.
High-amperage loads connect to the three integrated buses utilizing compact and low cost MIDI®/AMI® fuses. The four low-amperage automotive-style ATO®/ATC® fuses are connected to their loads via a single waterproof and locking connecting plug. This style of connection eliminates a tangle of wires and provides peace of mind that the connections are secure.
