Blue Sea Systems New Product Release
BELLINGHAM, WASHINGTON (5 June 2013) ‐‐‐ Blue Sea Systems, a Bellingham based manufacturer of electrical systems, has released their new m‐Series Automatic Charging Relay (m‐ACR).
The m‐ACR automatically combines batteries during charging, isolates batteries when discharging, or when starting the engine.
"A large segment of outboard and small inboard boats have not had a compact, waterproof, and reliable solution for charging an auxiliary battery with the alternator from a single engine," said David Johnson, Senior Vice President of Blue Sea Systems. "The new m‐ACR specifically addresses these needs with a waterproof, 65A ACR which is easy to install, easy to operate, and easy on your wallet."
The M‐ACR is designed to manage the charging current from alternators up to 65 Amps found on most outboards and many inboard engines. Start Isolation (SI) protects sensitive electronics by temporarily isolating house loads from the engine circuit during engine cranking, protecting the house circuits from voltage sags and spikes. The versatile design allows for three mounting styles: surface, rear, or panel mount. The m‐ACR is also available as an Add‐A‐Battery kit and is packaged with an m‐Series Dual Circuit Plus™ Battery Switch. The combination of the m‐ACR and Mini Battery Switch simplifies the switching and automates charging between two batteries.
